A Two Fold Recompense!

Share

Isaiah 61:7 Instead of your [former] shame you shall have a twofold recompense; instead of dishonor and reproach [your people] shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double [what they had forfeited]; everlasting joy shall be theirs.

2 Timothy 4:8[As to what remains] henceforth there is laid up for me the [victor's] crown of righteousness [for being right with God and doing right], which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me and recompense me on that [great] day–and not to me only, but also to all those who hav e loved and yearned for and welcomed His appearing (His return).

Today’s Reflection: The dictionary describes the word recompense as to pay or give compensation for; make restitution or requital for (damage, injury, or the like). I want you to see this today and rejoice! He says Instead of your [former] shame you shall have a twofold (twice as great) recompense (reward); instead of dishonor and reproach (to find fault with [your people] shall rejoice in their portion. Therefore in their land they shall possess double [what they had forfeited]; everlasting joy shall be theirs. We have a crown of righteousness that He will reward to all those on that day who have loved, yearned & welcomed His appearing!
