For A day In Your Courts Is Better Than A Thousand Anywhere Else

Share

Psalm 1:1-2 BLESSED (HAPPY, fortunate, prosperous, and enviable) is the man who walks and lives not in the counsel of the ungodly [following their advice, their plans and purposes], nor stands [submissive and inactive] in the path where sinners walk, nor sits down [to relax and rest] where the scornful [and the mockers] gather. 2But his delight and desire are in the law of the Lord, and on His law (the precepts, the instructions, the teachings of God) he habitually meditates (ponders and studies) by day and by night.

Psalm 84:10 For a day in Your courts is better than a thousand [anywhere else]; I would rather be a doorkeeper and stand at the threshold in the house of my God than to dwell [at ease] in the tents of wickedness.

Today’s Reflection: Would you agree that one day in the presence of God is better than a thousand anywhere else? David said, he would rather be a doorkeeper & stand at the threshold in the house of God than dwell at ease in the tents of wickedness! So never take for granted the presence of God, never take for granted the freedom to worship him & praise Him. It’s easy to sing on a mountain top, but we need to praise Him while we are in the valley and walking through the wilderness.  When we make our praise a sweet sacrifice it becomes a sweet fragrance to Him.
