The Glory Of The Lord

2 Chronicles 7:2-4 The priests could not enter the house of the Lord, because the glory of the Lord had filled the Lord's house. 3And when all the people of Israel saw how the fire came down and the glory of the Lord upon the house, they bowed with their faces upon the pavement and worshiped and praised the Lord, saying, For He is good, for His mercy and loving-kindness endure forever. 4Then the king and all the people offered sacrifices before the Lord.

Habakkuk 2:14 But [the time is coming when] the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.

Today’s Reflection: When we are surrounded by the glory of the Lord, we might find it difficult to stand on our feet. The priests in the old testament could not enter the tabernacle because the glory of the Lord had filled the house. If we understood the power of Praise & worship we would spend as long as possible praising & worshipping the Lord. We wouldn’t care what time it is, who is speaking next or if someone is going to be offended if we let God out of the box! We would wait upon the Lord as he surrounds us with his glorious presence. Because in His presence is fullness of joy! Praise & worship will lift you above your circumstances. When you praise the Lord your circumstances will get smaller & smaller.

I recall standing in a minister’s service once. He had asked everyone to step out who needed any kind of healing in their body. As many filled the isles & headed towards the front of the church I saw a cloud almost like a fog start forming in the air. This was the first time that I had ever physically seen what most refer to as the “glory cloud”. As I spoke to others about it, who were standing there, they couldn’t see it. Then the lady next to me said “Lord, open our spiritual eyes so that we can see your glory”. I then realized that I was seeing with my spiritual eyes not my physical eyes.
