When the Wicked Man Rules, the People Groan and Sigh!

The Uncompromisingly Righteous will stand!

Proverbs 29:2 When the [uncompromisingly] righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; but when the wicked man rules, the people groan and sigh.

Psalm 5:12 For You, Lord, will bless the [uncompromisingly] righteous [him who is upright and in right standing with You]; as with a shield You will surround him with goodwill (pleasure and favor). Psalm 37:12 The wicked plot against the [uncompromisingly] righteous (the upright in right standing with God); they gnash at them with their teeth.

Reflection: What does the word of God have to say about having someone in authority that is uncompromisingly righteous?

If you have ever worked at job & almost all of us have, some where in our work history we might have had a boss that was a tyrant or was perhaps unrighteous! The bible is clear that we are to respect our authority & when we do even if it costs us in the end, God will bless us & will surround us with good will of pleasure and favor!

One of the hardest thing that you will ever have to do, as a Christian, is to not retaliate against a  co-worker or a boss that has cost you or has done you wrong. Our flesh wants to get even, make them pay or call them on the carpet. Even if that person is a Christian & we think "well they should know better", we still must leave it in God's hands & respond correctly. We can make situation worse if we try to handle things ourselves! When God sees one of his own being abused, falsely accused or set up to take a fall, God sits up & takes notice. However, the first thing that God is going to look for is how we react to the situation. Are we going to take matters into our own hands or are we going to go to God & be honest with him & tell him how we feel & ask for godly wisdom? Nobody want to be falsely accused of something that they didn’t do! God knows what happened & he can give us favor in the worst situations. However, we have to be willing to allow God to work in & through our lives & also look at it as an opportunity to show the love of God to others.

When we do this God sees that we are properly representing Him & regardless of our situation he can advance us or promote us where he wants us to be. So the next time that somebody causes you trouble, forgive them! Take your requests to the Lord & allow God to use you to do what’s right & see what happens with that person’s attitude toward you. The bottom line is folks, that when you stand up for Jesus & start walking out His plan & purpose for your life, you can expect that the enemy will use all kinds of tactics against you. According to the word of God no weapon that is formed against you shall prosper! That means that no matter what they do or say to you, that God’s favor will be upon your life & God will advance you to where he wants you to be, if you will keep your heart right through the situation!
