Life is an Adventure with JESUS!

Luke 19:1-5  AND [Jesus] entered Jericho and was passing through it. 2And there was a man called Zacchaeus, a chief tax collector, and [he was] rich. 3And he was trying to see Jesus, which One He was, but he could not on account of the crowd, because he was small in stature. 4So he ran on ahead and climbed up in a sycamore tree in order to see Him, for He was about to pass that way. 5And when Jesus reached the place, He looked up and said to him, Zacchaeus, hurry and come down; for I must stay at your house today.

Luke 8:43-48 And a woman who had suffered from a flow of blood for twelve years [a]and had spent all her living upon physicians, and could not be healed by anyone, 44Came up behind Him and touched the fringe of His garment, and immediately her flow of blood ceased. 45And Jesus said, Who is it who touched Me? When all were denying it, Peter [b]and those who were with him said, Master, the multitudes surround You and press You on every side! 46But Jesus said, Someone did touch Me; for I perceived that [healing] power has gone forth from Me. 47And when the woman saw that she had not escaped notice, she came up trembling, and, falling down before Him, she declared in the presence of all the people for what reason she had touched Him and how she had been instantly cured. 48And He said to her, Daughter, your faith (your confidence and trust in Me) has made you well! Go (enter) [c]into peace ([d]untroubled, undisturbed well-being).

Reflection: Are you willing to make a fool of yourself, be unacceptable to man, rejected by many and face perhaps an angry crowd of religious people who may not like what you are saying? Zacchaeus was a tax collector and a rich man who was willing to climb up a tree so that he could get a look at Jesus. He was short, but it says that he ran ahead of the crowd, climbed up a tree so that he could see Jesus passing by! Jesus sees him, acknowledges him and decided he would stay at Zacchaeus’s house!

The woman with an issue of blood, knew that she needed healing & was willing to face those who wanted to stone her in order that she receive her healing. She had been to every physician and no one could heal her, In fact it says she grew worse! How do you keep your faith alive when your situation goes from bad to worse? These are only two accounts in the bible of people that were willing to take a risk to see and be touched by Jesus! When you get on fire for God & his plan and purpose for your life you may find that the enemy will set up road blocks hoping to trip you up & discourage you. Command those road blocks to be removed in Jesus name & run straight into the arms of Jesus! Realize you may not belong to the who’s who in the charismatic zoo, but you’ll always be first place in your journey with Jesus! Ask yourself this question, do you want to be famous or a tool in the hand of the master that can change people’s lives for eternity?
